Connectedness –              Encourage the feeling of belonging with others that are being supported in the recovery process.  Share experiences as a valuable tool to connect with others and provide a message of hope and courage.

 

Hope                             Remind others of their abilities and nurture a growing sense of hopefulness and possibilities.

 

Empowerment -                Pledge to affect a positive change in a supportive venture that uses  the individual’s knowledge and experience to empower the recovery process.

 

Communication             Practice the use of positive communication with others that conveys support, affirmation, attentiveness and the ability to listen without judging.

 

Resilience                     Appreciate the power of resilience and always remember who you are, what you have to offer and use your strengths to become all that you are meant to be.
